Microsoft Copilot (free version)
Claude (free version)

My employer is evaluating AI and doesn't currently allow the use of AI for code generation.
This was all done at home on my personal time at home with no mainframe access.

Too Long; Didn't Read (TL;DR) YES* My experience is that these AI chatbots are better at analysing code rather than generating it.

But for now I don't think that AI can currently read dumps so I have a job for now.
