Dave's HLASM web pages

HLASM

So you want to be an Assembler programming star...

Then listen now to what I say
Just get a PoPs manual
Then take some time and learn how to pray.
And with your PC routines coded right
Just keep your CSECTs tight.

Do the MODESET and change the key:
Now you're writing code for the SVC!
Just add a LTORG and a pinch of LA,
Chain those save areas the MVS way.
With BAKR and PR, you're shifting gears,
Debug in XDC, face your fears.
Don't forget what you are...

You're an Assembler programing star!

(With apologies to Roger McGuinn of the Byrds)

Main Logic: No statements flagged in this assembly

Back in the 1990s, these HLASM web pages may have been somewhat interesting but not so much anymore:
As Roland likes to say: "May the HLASM be with you!"

High Level Assembler, HLASM, MVS and z/OS are owned by IBM of course.
